Remember when I posted a bit ago I bought a TJ and was just going to do a couple things to it? Yeah I forgot my initial reason for searching for a 4.0 was to slap the supercharger off my old super coupe onto it. So yeah that will probably eventually happen. There are several kits out there but most of them want you to buy the kit with the SC and not just the brackets piping and tune. We will see where it leads.

Curious about the tuning to make this work... call me “subscribed”.

Surprisingly the early 4.0s can handle low boos 4-7 psi with no tuning. It when Chrysler got their hands on the ecu/pcm that it starts to get more complicated. 05/06 requires the most tuning yet are the ones that are easily through the obdII so I have mixed feelings on me getting an 05.

You have to focus your time on more important things... like sourcing a custom striped top so you can Surreyfy your TJ...

So, are you thinking “injector size increase” and let the fuel trims adjust it, or can you get close with a variable fuel pressure regulator?

We put about 10 pounds of boost on a “non boostable” M60 BMW motor and got pretty good (it runs a bit rich on boost) fueling with a boost- variable pressure set-up and a piggy-back timing adjustment. (AEM?)

Most common and simple is Adding a 7th injector and Split Second fuel/ timing calibrator to retard timing and add fuel under boost. Then use the stock EFI map when not. Most of it can be done through a  HP Tuner.
